Travis’ 35th Birthday Party at Cerruti Cellars

35 never looked so good… 😉

I know I’m biased, but I think it’s true.

It’s funny, thinking back on birthday celebrations, we’ve come a long way.  The first birthday I celebrated with Travis was his 29th and his friends and I surprised him at a night club where we danced and partied the night away.  Fast forward 6 years, and we hosted his birthday party on a Saturday afternoon at a winery.  We were home by 7:30pm and asleep by 10pm.  I’d argue that we had just as much fun this year as we did 6 years ago, but I’ll let Travis be the judge of that…

And while many things have changed over the past 6 years (like Shaun’s hair, the number of kids we have now, and the fact that we look like babies back then), I know many others have not…

1. Travis still has the most amazing friends (most of them dating back to their days at Stanford) ::

2. Travis is still stuck with me (and at least one baby at all times) ::

3. And Travis still loves a good birthday party ::

Long story short, Travis’ party was a huge success and a ton of fun.  A couple months ago while Travis and I were on a “date day,” we stumbled across a winery in Jack London Square by the name of Cerruti CellarsWe loved the location of it, the feel of it, and the fact that we could park in their parking lot as members, so we signed up for the wine club that first day.  Since signing up, we’ve frequented their tasting room multiple times and we knew that we wanted to use their incredible back room as the backdrop for something…it just so turns out it was the perfect venue for this birthday party.

The staff was friendly, the wine was great, we were able to play our own music, bring other beverages (because who doesn’t want some Fireball on their birthday?), AND we played an intense round of liar’s dice.

Our food was catered by Bocanova (another fun place to check out in Jack London Square) and my two personal favorite items they brought were the fried chicken sandwiches and the mini cupcakes.

And while party planning is not my strong suit (it stresses me out immensely), I’m happy to say everything went incredibly well on Saturday thanks to the helpful teams at Cerruti and Bocanova…and obviously, thanks to the best teammate ever, Travis.

Happy birthday again, babe – we love you!
