Third Pregnancy : Week 39
Well, we’ve officially made it to my last pregnancy post for my third pregnancy…this is how I feel about that ::
I can’t even begin to tell you how excited I am to meet Caroline tomorrow and I also can’t even begin to tell you how anxious I am…it’s so strange to think that this birth is scheduled (more on that at the end of the post) but it’s so nice to know that I won’t have her on the bridge on the way into San Francisco and that I won’t have her when my Mom isn’t here to help with the girls.
Thanks to my crazy pregnancy brain, I’m not feeling super duper pulled together these days, but I know that I’ve prepared us as much as possible for Caroline’s arrival. We have diapers, wipes, clean clothes, a place for her to sleep, clean breast pump materials, and the list goes on.
We’ve pulled our house together as much as humanly possible before her arrival as well, so I’m going into tomorrow feeling very calm about where everything is and how everything is set up. We have diaper changing stations on every level of the house, we have a functioning swing, a baby bouncy seat, and a million elephants waiting to meet this little love.
More than anything, we have two little girls, a Daddy, a Mommy, and a Kiki who are all prepared to love her to death from the moment she comes out.
We can’t wait for our family to grow from a family of four to a family of five…woohoo!!!
How far along:
How big is baby:
The size of a mini watermelon.
Weight gain this week (followed by total weight gain for this pregnancy thus far):
2 lbs (40 lbs) – Alrighty, 40 lbs it is! Holy moly.
Workout clothes only.
Sleep has been a little rough this week. If I wake up at all in the middle of the night, I have a REALLY hard time going back to sleep because I have so much on my mind. I can only imagine how poorly I’ll sleep tonight…tomorrow’s sort of an important day!
Best moment(s) of the week:
Kiki arriving. Now all my stressing over what we’d do if she came early is officially gone. Kiki to the rescue!
Mexican food. We made chicken and steak fajitas last night. Yum yum!
Heartburn even when I’m good about taking my Pepcid AC.
Dark line on my belly.
Swelling when I’m on my feet too long.
Very active, but her movements are more like big rolls than anything else. She’s feeling quite large these days.
Caroline is a GIRL!
What I’m looking forward to:
Ummm…………………………………………….meeting Caroline tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What I’m nervous about:
How clingy Mac has been lately. I have a feeling she might have a rough go of this whole new baby thing. I will remain optimistic however that things will go really well and Mac and Abby will absolutely adore their little sis.
What I miss:
Nothing at all.
I suppose tomorrow’s scheduled induction would be considered my next appointment! The plan is to go in, break my water, and then walk around in hopes contractions will start all on their own. Since my two previous deliveries were so smooth and fast, my doctor doesn’t think they’ll have to give me Pitocin, but if things don’t start on their own they’d have to give me a little to get started…I’m hoping I won’t need any. I suppose time will tell. The hope is that once my water is broken, my body will remember what to do and I’ll just be ready to have a baby!
Fingers crossed…wish us luck!!!
Until next time,
