Abby’s 1st Day of Preschool

Never in a million years did I think I’d be the Mom who cried on the first day of school.

Yet as I drove away with only one kid in the car this morning, I found myself blubbering on the phone to Travis about how the drop-off was a success (to the point where Abby barely even acknowledged the fact that Mac and I were leaving) and about why I couldn’t stop crying. There’s no doubt pregnancy hormones played a role in this (or at least that’s what I’m telling myself), but I genuinely couldn’t stop the tears from rolling down my face.  Can you even imagine what a disaster I’ll be when my girls get married!?  Ugh…

As excited as I am for Abby, I guess it’s just a crazy day when your little best friend heads off to make new friends and learn new things. It’s so awesome and she’s SO ready for it, but I guess I’m just trying to figure out how and when she went from this…

Abby’s off at her first day of preschool, Mac is sleeping upstairs, and I’m sitting here in silence wondering what it’s going to be like when ALL our kids are at school. At this rate, that’s going to be right around the corner. It’s no wonder people want to have more kids. It’s no wonder we want to have more kids.

Anyway, I’m just flapping because I figured this is certainly a milestone worth sharing.

Abby’s 1st Day of Preschool. Such an awesome day for an awesome little lady!  Take a look below at how the morning progressed (Mac even tried to do Abby’s hair – such a great little sister).

Until next time,
