Third Pregnancy :: Week 23
Age of Abigail ::
3 tomorrow! She’s about to be a big birthday girl!!! She also ran out and asked to participate in this “photo shoot.” She talks about Caroline alllllll the time.
Age of Mackenzie ::
How far along:
How big is baby:
The size of a large mango.
Weight gain this week (followed by total weight gain for this pregnancy thus far):
1 lb (14 lbs total)
Same old story. Mainly maternity clothes mixed with workout clothes. One thing is for sure…I’m growing rapidly (I’d like to partially blame that on our Big Green Egg…too bad we only got it a few days ago so I don’t think that’s a fair assessment).
I’m happy to report the girls are back to “normal” and have completely readjusted to west coast time again. They’re sleeping in until 6am (sometimes even 6:30am!!!) so we’re feeling like humans again. Thank goodness. I know we’ll be sleep deprived in about 4 months and I’m not ready to experience that yet!
Best moment of the week:
Seeing Abby and Mac spend time with their great-grandparents who came to visit mid-week. What a special relationship they have!
That, and purchasing our Big Green Egg (and yes, you’ll be hearing about it a lot – sorry!). We are so excited to finally have the outdoor space for a grill. Woohoo!!!
Meat. Caroline must be soaking up all the iron.
Heartburn no matter what I eat (so I continue to eat all the spicy stuff I love).
Weight gain. Rapid weight gain (or at least it feels that way).
My red spots are getting more red (typical for me).
A lot more movement in the past week. She’s starting to feel like Abby and Mac did when they were in there – I love, love, love it!
Caroline is a GIRL!
What I’m looking forward to:
Grilling. Cooking. And finding incredible recipes to explore. I love food.
What I’m nervous about:
It’s more of a nervous/excited feeling, but I’m going to tour a preschool for Abby on Friday. It’s incredible that we’ve already reached this milestone and I’m so excited to watch her continue to blossom. She has, after all, been asking to go to school for the past year+…what can I say?! She’s a social butterfly who’s ready to spread her wings. I’m so excited for her.
What I miss:
My Mom. She left on Saturday and we’re already missing Kiki!
February 13th. I’ve officially been told to come once a month now. Crazy. How am I almost 6 months pregnant already!?!
Until next time,
