Third Pregnancy :: Week 17

Week 17 Photo Series_Third Pregnancy

Age of Abigail ::
2 years, 11 months

Age of Mackenzie ::
13 months

How far along:
17 weeks

How big is baby:
The size of a turnip

Weight gain this week (followed by total weight gain for this pregnancy thus far):
2 lbs (8 lbs total)

Maternity clothes:
I managed to wear a non-maternity dress to a holiday party this last weekend…I’m pretty sure that’s the last time that will happen during this pregnancy.

Other than that, I’ve been wearing lots of maternity tops and my jeans are almost too tight to wear without a belly band of some sort. I think it’s officially time for me to give into the fact that it’s time to wear maternity pants.

Stretch marks:
None.

Belly button:
Innie.

Sleep:
I’m sleeping like a baby. And my babies are sleeping like rocks. All is good in the James household (knock on wood!).

Best moment of the week:
Watching Abby and Mac with Santa…

Santa, Abby, and Mac

It was absolute perfection.  Oh, and I highly recommend this Santa.  Here’s some info on where he was…

My other wonderful moment lasted an hour when I was actually able to get a workout in at the YMCA without being called in to “rescue” baby Mac from crying (my fifth workout in almost TWO MONTHS…ahhhhhh I was about to go insane). I’m heading back today to see if I can get lucky two days in a row.

Food cravings:
Nothing in particular, but I’ve definitely been very, VERY hungry.

Food aversions:
None.

Symptoms:
Occasional heartburn.
Weight gain.
Growing belly.

Movement:
Not much to report here.

Gender:
TBD…we find out one week from tomorrow. I had a dream last night (a very vivid dream) that we found out we were having a boy. That being said, I’m still convinced we’re having another girl. We shall see.

What I’m looking forward to:
Being in Atlanta with my family.

What I’m nervous about:
The long flight to Atlanta. I know we’ve done it a million times (or at least it feels like that), but no matter “how good” we are at flying with kids, you just never know what might happen. The uncertainty makes me nervous.

What I miss:
San Francisco. Still.

Next appointment:
12.18.13 – the big gender reveal appointment!

Comparison to my First Pregnancy (Abigail):
There is no comparison to my First Pregnancy…yet!  We’re getting close!

Comparison to my Second Pregnancy (Mackenzie):
Here’s Week 17!

Until next time,
7x7xMommy
