How big is baby:
The size of a lemon
Weight gain this week (followed by total weight gain for this pregnancy thus far):
0 lbs (4 lbs total)
Maternity clothes are definitely on the horizon. My belly is officially starting to grow a little bit. Not enough for people to know I’m pregnant, but enough for my pants to feel way too snug. That being said, I wear yoga pants 99% of the time, so I don’t have to break out my “real clothes” very often.
I’ve been sleeping so well. I’ve been experiencing some crazy dreams (like I do with every pregnancy), but they don’t keep me up!
Best moment of the week:
Having a break over the weekend and getting away to LA with Travis. As much as I missed the girls (which was a LOT – I’m not used to being away from them), I came back feeling rested and more patient than usual.
Chicken curry. Good thing I’ll be making it tomorrow!
I haven’t had any aversions to food, but I must say that it’s been odd to not have a sweet tooth. Normally eating chocolate is my favorite part of the day, but I’ve been on a major savory kick lately and my sweet tooth has been on the missing list. Odd! (and I write this after consuming 4 Oreos…maybe my sweet tooth is back?!)
I still have low energy but other than that, I’m feeling pretty darn good. Oh, wait…heartburn is already back…UGH! Bring on the Tums…
I swear I felt some movement over the weekend. I know it’s early, but it was right around this time in my last pregnancy that I started feeling the baby move. Now that I’m an “expert” in this whole pregnancy thing, I’m pretty sure I know what a tiny moving baby feels like. It’s getting so exciting and real!
What I’m looking forward to:
Our new couch getting delivered this week – I know I said that last week, but it never arrived. That sucker better arrive this week! I want it here for Thanksgiving!
What I’m nervous about:
Hosting my first Thanksgiving (I suppose we “hosted” it last year but we had a 3 week old so we bought a cooked turkey from Safeway so that doesn’t count). I’m also very excited because I LOVE to cook and I’ve found some incredible recipes (like Salted Caramel Apple Pie…you’re drooling, aren’t you?), but it’s the actual prep of everything that makes me a little nervous. It’s hard to get much done around here with two little crazies running around all the time!!
What I miss:
My family! I can’t wait to see them in a month!
Comparison to my First Pregnancy (Abigail):
There is no comparison to my First Pregnancy…yet! We’re getting close!
Until next time,
