To say last weekend was a whirlwind would be an understatement. We flew home from Atlanta on Saturday afternoon and were out the door by 8:00am on Sunday morning to head off to San Luis Obispo to visit Abby and Mac’s great-grandparents. Abby was stylin’ in the car…
And while it was definitely tiring after traveling cross country with the girls, it was absolutely worth it to spend time with family and to have Pop-Pop and Grandma Shereen play with Abby and finally meet baby Mac.
Abby and Pop-Pop were like two peas in a pod playing around in the backyard (where, of course, the weather was absolutely PERFECT). Since I’m pretty darn terrible at narrowing down my favorite pictures, here’s a little series of their shenanigans…playing in the yard, playing hide and seek, and playing with toys. Pretty darn cute if I say so myself.
And while baby Mac was being her typical clingy-to-Mommy self, she was certainly enjoying herself as well.
Gosh, and the highlight for Abby (other than playing in the backyard with Pop-Pop, of course) was feeding a horse and actually getting on a horse thanks to some very friendly and generous neighbors down the road.
Abby was in heaven. She even got to pick a horse’s nose (something she seemed to be very proud of…haha).
And one of my favorite highlights (other than spending time with Pop-Pop and Shereen!) was taking Travis, my Mom, and the girls to Firestone Grill in SLO for some delicious food…that sure brought back a lot of memories!
To be quite honest, we’ve officially been back a week from all our travels and I’m still recovering from being on the go (not that we’ve done much in the way of slowing down). I’m tired.
But, as all you parents know, there’s no rest for the weary around here! These kids never stop moving…
Anyway, I hope you’ve all had a great week…
