Family Time at the Atlanta Zoo

We’re currently 5 days into our Atlanta trip (visiting my parents and meeting the new tenants moving into our investment property) and one of our first big adventures was heading to the Atlanta Zoo with the whole family. What a fun adventure for everyone. The girls had a blast, the parents had a blast, and the grandparents were soaking up every second.

And while we didn’t get to see the new twin baby pandas in person (we just got to see a picture of them), we were able to feed the giraffes, watch the flamingos, and obsess over the choo-choo train running through the zoo.

Even baby Mac was having a great time taking it all in.

If you’re ever in the Atlanta area and you’re looking for a fun family activity that the kids will get a kick out of (and just as an FYI, the kids we took are 2.5 years, 15 months, and 8 months), we would highly recommend the Zoo. It has a fantastic variety of animals (including Pandas, which is a big draw for us!), it’s not too overwhelmingly large, and it’s nice and shaded for those hot, hot, hot Atlanta summer days.

We’re already looking forward to our next visit out here so we can actually see those panda twins in person! For the time being, at least this guy was willing to smile for the camera…

Until next time – we’re off to explore some more!
