For those of you who are familiar with my blog, you’re more than likely familiar with The Panda Report, my fun little way of keeping track of Abigail’s growth (especially over the first year…I have been slacking ever since…I’ve still been taking pictures, but I haven’t been posting them regularly).
Anyway, since Abigail has a “signature animal” we knew Mac needed to have one too. After a little thought, we decided to go with giraffes because they’re adorable. More than that, however, we were inspired by a song from Abigail’s music class that she loves called A Ram Sam Sam (yes, that’s the name…and no, the lyrics don’t make any sense whatsoever, but Abigail LOVES it and that’s really all that matters). There’s a part in the song that sounds like, “ohhhh Raffi, ohhhh Raffi” and whenever Abby hears it, she grabs some giraffes and flails them in the air. So cute.
Long story short, we’re going with Giraffes and we’re going to call Mac’s “report” the Raffi Report.
First and foremost, here was Day 1 ::
And here’s Mac and her Giraffe at 1 Week ::
At Mac’s 3 Day doctor’s appointment, here were her stats ::
Height :: 21″ (90th percentile)
Weight :: 8lbs 8oz (75th percentile)
We had her 10 Day appointment today and they didn’t measure her, but they weighed her and she was 9 lbs 6 oz. Mac’s pediatrician was impressed. He said half that weight gain would have been great, but that this was even better. haha…I mean, I know she’s been eating a lot, but I didn’t realize she was eating that much! Here’s a fun shot from the appointment this morning. It was also our first outing without Daddy and I’m happy to say we nailed it!
Until next time! I’m off to get things done while both girls are sleeping.
