Second Pregnancy :: Week 34

Age of baby #1:
20 months (which will make them ~21.5 months apart)

How far along:
34 weeks

How big is baby:
the size of a butternut squash

Weight gain:
2 lbs. (for a total weight gain of 28 lbs. – that’s also the total amount I gained when I was pregnant with Abigail – I can’t help but wonder if Mac is going to be bigger than Abby who was 7 lbs at birth)

Maternity clothes:
Yoga pants and long tank tops.  My maternity clothes aren’t fitting all that well these days. Ugh.

Stretch marks:
None.

Belly button:
Innie/Outie (still not sure)

Sleep:
Sleep has been okay. I wake up multiple times to pee and eat Tums and then I have a hard time falling back asleep because I have so much on my mind. Just getting ready for a newborn again!

Best moment of the week:
Attending Rachel’s bridal shower on Saturday and seeing my second family, the Allen’s!

Food cravings:
Burgers. Had an awesome one from Roam on Friday night and an amazing one from Umami Burger on Sunday.

Food aversions:
None.

Symptoms:

1. The dark line on my belly is making an appearance as of this week.
2. Clothes aren’t fitting well on my belly.
3. Heartburn.
4. Red spots on my arms, chest, and face.
5. Feeling tired.

Movement:
Active, active, active, but the movements aren’t as spastic anymore. Now it feels like she’s doing more slow rolling because there’s not much space in there.

Gender:
GIRL :: Mackenzie Marie!!!

What I’m looking forward to:
The three trips my Mom is making out here in the next three months (one including my Dad and two including my brother and one including Malinda and Emilia…YAY!!!).  SOOO much to look forward to over the next few months!!!

What I’m nervous about:
Abigail seems to be getting more and more clingy with Mommy.  I feel like she can sense that something’s about to change. That being said, I’m a little nervous about the transition from one to two!

What I miss:
My family and friends who have moved away this year. Sad face.

Next appointment:
September 27th.
