I honestly can’t remember how many times people asked me where we got Abigail’s dress at Saturday’s Stanford tailgate. Too many to count, so I figured I had to write about it and share this gem, Frankly, My Dear Clothing (because where else can you find a toddler size, one-of-a-kind, perfectly spunky dress that was obviously not purchased at the Stanford Bookstore AND it was made out of a recycled t-shirt from Mommy’s closet!?!).
I’ve been waiting for Abigail to be big enough (and for Stanford Football to start, of course) to wear this dress and Saturday’s event was the perfect time to break it out. I honestly love everything about it. It’s adorable on its own, but we dressed it up with some leggings and Abigail’s signature boots (both of which eventually came off because it was a perfect day in Palo Alto…as usual).
The ruffles on the bum, the flower and embellishments on the front, and the gold rope belt (not to mention the adorable cut of the neckline in the front and back) were all perfect.
Travis and I were just saying we need to order a couple more for the rest of the season so Abigail can “change it up” a bit. haha…our little fashionista…

According to FMD, “Upcycled fabrics turned one-of-a-kind, adorable, super funky, artsy, fun, creative, unique, dresses for little girls! Three sisters with a passion for design, color, and cute little clothes, sit around a table and laugh, catch up on the week, and sew, sew, SEW!!”
I love it!
Abigail’s dress was literally made out of an old Stanford t-shirt of mine. I sent it to the ladies at FMD and they sent back this amazing masterpiece of a dress.
I think it’s time everyone digs through their drawers and finds a special piece of clothing to upcycle for their little ones! Let me know if you have any questions…oh, and you’re welcome…here’s to a future full of compliments on your toddler’s team spirit!
GOOOOO Stanford!
