Second Pregnancy :: Week 21

Age of baby #1:
17 months (which will make them ~21.5 months apart)

How far along:
21 weeks

How big is baby:
the size of a pomegranate

Weight gain:
1 lb. (for a total weight gain of 12 lbs.)

Maternity clothes:
Same story as the past few weeks.  This week I’m in search of a dress to wear to a wedding next weekend so I’ll keep you posted on what I find!  I plan on checking out Mom’s the Word in San Francisco first.  Then if I have to, I’ll head to a Pea in a Pod (where I had no success during my first pregnancy – every dress made me feel like a monster).  If you have any great recommendations of a place to find a dress, let me know!  I can’t stand shopping, but I’m trying to have a good attitude about it this week.

Stretch marks:
None. Fingers crossed I get away without any the second time around as well.

Belly button:
Innie…hoping it stays that way as well!

Sleep:
Other than getting up a few times a night to use the bathroom (Beanette has made a home directly on top of my bladder), we’ve been sleeping great.

Best moment of the week:
Almost catching up on papers (by the way, sorry I talk to much about papers on this pregnancy blog, but since I spend all my “free” time working on them, they’re constantly on my mind).  Oh, and I launched my website for mini me papers :: www.minimepapers.com

The other best moment was actually a bunch of small moments this weekend when Travis (without me asking) did all the laundry, went grocery shopping, cleaned the apartment, and hung out with Abigail so I could get stuff done.  He’s the best.

Food cravings:
Not much has changed…BLT’s and frozen yogurt.

Food aversions:
None.

Symptoms:
Heartburn.  I keep forgetting to write about this, but it’s been getting progressively worse over the past month (which is WAY earlier than the heartburn I experienced with Abigail. UGH).  Tums are my best friend yet again.

Movement:
Tons of movement. Low movement. Make-me-have-to-pee kind of movement.

Gender:
GIRL!

What I’m looking forward to:
Tahoe this coming weekend!  Love weddings…love getting away!!

What I’m nervous about:
Still not being able to pick out a name.  Thankfully, my awesome sister-in-law sent us two baby name books which we spent a lot of time reading this weekend…we have at least one new name to add to this list!

What I miss: 
Doing laundry at my parent’s house.

Next appointment:
July 25^th…oh, and our appointment on Friday was a breeze.  Beanette sounds perfect and I’m measuring right on schedule. I think my appointment lasted all of 5 minutes.

Read about pregnancy #1 here :: The Bump Report :: Week 21. It’s funny, this is the post where I started worrying/thinking a ton about stretch marks.  Maybe it’s because I didn’t get them the last time around, but I literally never think about stretch marks now.  Amazing how things change.
