Second Pregnancy :: Week 9

Age of baby #1:
14.5 months (which will make them ~21.5 months apart)

How far along:
9 weeks

How big is baby:
The size of a grape

Total weight gain:
2 lbs. (for a total weight gain of 4 lbs.)

Maternity clothes:
I’ve definitely brought out my maternity leggings as well as a few tops for the days when I’m feeling exceptionally bloated and gross.  Most days, however, I can wear non-maternity clothes.

Stretch marks:
None. Fingers crossed I get away without any the second time around as well.

Belly button:
Innie…hoping it stays that way as well!

I’ve been sleeping like it’s my full time job.  I do not remember feeling this way during my first pregnancy.  I’m an extremely productive person, so all this sleep has made me feel like a lazy blob…not a feeling I enjoy.

Best moment of the week:
Feeling relatively human on Sunday.  I was able to complete 5 mini me papers and eat regularly!

Food cravings:
I’m still craving smoothies.  And really anything that’s cold and refreshing.

Food aversions:
Nothing makes me ill when I smell or think about it, but there’s not much that sounds appetizing (hence all the smoothies I’ve been consuming).   


  1. NAUSEA:  Still here in full force. Haven’t discovered a cure yet.
  2. Headaches: I’m happy to say my headaches have gone away!


No idea, but can’t wait to find out!

What I’m looking forward to:
Finding an Easter Bunny to get Abby’s picture taken with this week.

What I’m nervous about:
Nothing this week.

What I miss:
Feeling extremely productive and having a lot of energy.

Next appointment:
April 11th at 9:00am (which will be our very first appointment)
