Second Pregnancy :: Week 8
Age of baby #1:
14 months (which will make them ~21.5 months apart)
How far along:
How big is baby:
The size of a raspberry
Total weight gain:
1 lb. (for a total weight gain of 2 lbs.)
None. Fingers crossed I get away without any the second time around as well.
Innie…hoping it stays that way as well!
Sleep has been my best friend because being awake (and feeling nauseous ALL the time) is not fun. At all.
Best moment of the week:
Going on a Sunday date with Travis. Kiki & Gappy watched Abby and we went to Pizzeria Defina, then we grabbed frozen yogurt, and then we went and saw The Hunger Games. It was a perfect day.
Smoothies. And frozen yogurt. And ice cream. Notice a theme?
Nearly everything else sounds relatively disgusting right now…but I’m able to eat food without it coming back up.
- NAUSEA: It hasn’t gotten any better. My first appointment still isn’t for over two weeks but I’m going to call my doctor this morning to see if there’s anything she can suggest (because ginger hasn’t helped and neither have Sea Bands…ugh).
- Headaches: I’m still waking up to headaches every morning. Luckily, they’re gone in an hour or so.
No idea, but can’t wait to find out!
What I’m looking forward to:
Celebrating our two year wedding anniversary tomorrow (Tuesday, March 27th). We’re going to dress up and dine at Quince here in San Francisco. I’m so excited for another date with my amazing husband!
What I’m nervous about:
My parents moving back to Atlanta. I know I haven’t really mentioned this yet (what can I say, I’m in complete denial), but they’re officially leaving town this coming Saturday. And it’s no April fools…
What I miss:
Eating my normal breakfasts (two eggs and two crumpets + a glass of OJ)…all I can handle are smoothies. 🙁
April 11th at 9:00am (which will be our very first appointment)
Comparison to Pregnancy #1:
Other than the obvious which I stated last week (that this pregnancy has been much more difficult because of all-day-long-sickness – not “morning” sickness), I’ve gained less weight at the very beginning of this pregnancy. By this point in my last pregnancy, I’d already gained 5+ lbs. I have a feeling my smoothie and froyo diet may have something to do with that…Here’s a photo of Pregnancy #1 at Week 8 ::
