Second Pregnancy :: Week 7
Age of baby #1:
14 months (which will make them ~21.5 months apart)
How far along:
7 weeks
How big is baby:
The size of a blueberry
Total weight gain:
0 lbs. (for a total weight gain of 1 lb.)
Maternity clothes:
None
Stretch marks:
None. Fingers crossed I get away without any the second time around as well.
Belly button:
Innie…hoping it stays that way as well!
Sleep:
I’ve been sleeping a LOT! I’m not a napper, but this week I took two naps during Abby’s naps. That’s unheard of around here!
Best moment of the week:
Spending time in Atlanta with Christopher, Malinda and soon-to-be baby girl…and then coming home to my beautiful, smiling, so-happy-to-see-Mommy little munchkin!
Food cravings:
Fruit smoothies. I stocked up at Trader Joe’s this week on OJ, Bananas, and bags of frozen fruit. I’ve been enjoying at least two a day.
Food aversions:
None.
Symptoms:
- NAUSEA: Oh my goodness, I never knew how easy I had it during pregnancy #1 until Saturday morning. When I was flying home from Atlanta (a 4 hour flight followed by a 1 hour layover followed by another 1.5 hour flight), I was certain I was going to throw up the entire time. It didn’t stop after the morning. It continued all day. Sunday was a repeat. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that things change quickly…as I said last week: maybe this means I’m having a boy because this pregnancy is already so different??? Haha…we’ll see.
- Headaches: I’m still waking up to headaches but they don’t even compare to the nausea. Not. At. ALL.
- Exhaustion: A general sense of exhaustion when I attempt to workout and/or go for long walks (or walk up crazy steep San Francisco hills).
- Crazy emotions: what I described last week hasn’t changed. Ugh.
Movement:
None.
Gender:
No idea, but can’t wait to find out!
What I’m looking forward to:
Feeling better.
What I’m nervous about:
Having to deal with “morning sickness” for the next 7+ weeks.
What I miss:
Feeling “normal” and having the energy to socialize and workout!
Next appointment:
April 11th at 9:00am (which will be our very first appointment)
Comparison to Pregnancy #1:
As of this week, this pregnancy is officially much more difficult. I’m experiencing nausea all day long (including when I wake up in the middle of the night) AND I’m chasing after baby #1. This is going to be interesting! Here’s a photo of Pregnancy #1 at Week 7 ::
