We had company over last night so I decided it was time to pick out an amazing recipe and dedicate the afternoon to cooking. I LOVE cooking. The challenging part is keeping Abigail entertained while I spend 3+ hours dicing, broiling, simmering, and hopefully not ruining anything.
This morning I’m happy to report that Abigail did so well and that the meal turned out incredibly (and I promise I’m not the only one who thought so!). One activity that kept her busy for at least 20 of the minutes? This one…
36. Bang on Pots and Pans with a Spoon
When my little drummer girl was done banging on pots and pans, she spent her time “cleaning” the floor with the Swiffer, running up and down the hallway (twice I found her sitting in her rocking chair in the living room and one time she was sitting on her potty in the bathroom…it was hilarious), and she definitely spent some time clinging to my legs (standard).
Hey, if you’re feeling ambitious anytime soon (and you’re good at following directions), I highly recommend tackling these recipes.
For the main course, I made Corn Flake Crusted Fish Fillets with Roasted Tomatillo Sauce and Fried Corn
For a side, I found another fun dish (Mexican Stuffed Peppers with Quinoa and Black Beans) on Pinterest and it turned out great!
I love food!!!
Have a great weekend,
