Panda Costume (Part 1: The Vision)

I have a vision…and this is it (though I’ll be the first to admit that this particular “sketch” looks extremely scary):

I hope you’re still here after looking at that image…

It’s called a “sketch” because I don’t actually know how to sketch…I’m not really all that artsy…and I don’t even have a steady hand.

I’m determined to sew my daughter a Panda Costume for Halloween.

Wish me luck (I’ll obviously need it).

On the bright side, I’m starting nice and early in hopes of completing the look before October 31st…

QUESTION: Have you ever sewn a garment (or costume)?  If so, do you have any pointers for my first attempt?

    I love your sketch!
What a fun project this shall be for you 🙂
Can’t wait to see Abby in her costume!

I don’t sew, my husband does though. When I need to hem something (and considering I am 6’2″, this has been like, twice in my entire life) I’ve used duct tape.
At least Abby has a great KiKi that can give you seamstress advice in a pinch. Good luck! Take pictures, you’re a brave woman in my book to use a sewing machine. They scare the be-jesus out of me. 🙂

haha…thank GOODNESS we have KiKi around, that’s for sure – we started the project yesterday and took LOTS of pictures. I think I’ll have to do a few mini-updates to document this process!
