Asparagus (Part 2: Testing)

I’m sure you’ve been dying to find out the results to the week’s most pressing question: do babies have asparagus pee?

And you know what?  I’m not going to make you wait any longer.

The answer?

YES they do. And it’s not pleasant.

The other important piece of information we picked up while testing asparagus?

Abby doesn’t seem to be a big fan…

And I must say…I’m GLAD she doesn’t like asparagus (and least for the time being)Changing her diaper post-asparagus is NOT an experience 7x7xDaddy and I look forward to doing on a regular basis.

Haha…we couldn’t even stand the smell of the prepared asparagus (as you’ll hear in this video):

So what do you think…

Did you know asparagus pee is hereditary? Eli had never even heard of it before, until we had a family dinner with my family, and we were all talking about it. It’s true. He doesn’t get the garbage smelling pee. My family, on the other hand…well…lets just say Eli believes in it now. 🙂

It is genetic. Russell doesn’t get it and neither do our girls, which it sounds like is a bonus for me!

SO funny. Good to know about the pee, I honestly wouldn’t have thought of that and would’ve had an unpleasant surprise later. haha
